Apply for a TSC teaching job (teacher recruitment)
Teachers Service Commission · sources read 30 Sep 2026
When TSC advertises vacancies, apply online on the TSC recruitment portal for posts in a specific school, sub-county or county. You must already be a registered teacher (with a TSC number), and applying is free.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- Where
- Online on the TSC recruitment portal when posts are advertised; interviews and document checks are done by the county selection panel
Steps
- When a recruitment is advertised, apply online for the declared vacancies in the school, sub-county or county you want.
- If you are shortlisted, you will be told and invited to an interview with a selection panel.
- The county panel checks your documents. If you are successful, you fill in employment forms, which the TSC County Director sends to TSC headquarters.
- Accept your appointment letter within the time given. If you don't, the appointment is cancelled.
Watch out
- Applying is free. TSC says no payment of any kind is required and you don't need to send a hard copy if you apply online, so ignore anyone asking for money to get you a teaching job.
- Not happy with the selection? You have 7 days from the selection date to lodge a complaint with TSC.
Who can apply
- Only teachers registered with TSC can apply. If you don't have a TSC number yet, register first.
