Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service · sources read 30 Sep 2026
Log in to the KUCCPS Student's Portal with your KCSE index number, pick up to four diploma, certificate or artisan courses in order of priority, then pay through eCitizen. Anyone who sat KCSE from 2000 onwards, with any grade from A to E, can apply.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- How long
- Placement results within about 30 days after you submit
- Where
- Online on the KUCCPS Student's Portal. You can get help at Huduma Centres and the KUCCPS office (ACK Garden House, Nairobi).
What you need
- Your KCSE index number, KCSE exam year and password (your KCPE index number or birth certificate number)
Steps
- Log in to the KUCCPS Student's Portal (students.kuccps.net, also linked from kuccps.ac.ke or the KUCCPS Students App).
- Open 'All Programmes', choose Diploma (Level 6), Certificate (Level 5) or Artisan (Level 4), and note the programme codes of courses whose minimum requirements you meet.
- Under 'Application', enter up to four programme codes, most wanted first, and submit.
- Pay through the eCitizen options the portal shows, click 'I have paid' and enter the eCitizen payment reference to finish.
- Check the portal or your SMS for your placement. Your college sends the admission letter and joining instructions.
Watch out
- TVET placement runs continuously and courses fill up, so apply early rather than waiting for a deadline.
- Enter the eCitizen payment reference, not the M-Pesa code. Keep it: you need it to change your application later.
- If you already finished a government-sponsored certificate or diploma, you can't currently apply through KUCCPS for the next level.
Who can apply
- Anyone who sat KCSE between 2000 and 2025, with any mean grade from A to E
- Minimum KCSE mean grade by level: Diploma (Level 6) C-, Craft Certificate (Level 5) D, Artisan Certificate (Level 4) E
