What you need
- For the MyPower app: your meter or account number, ID or passport number, and email or phone number
- For the self-service portal: your name, ID or passport number, and phone number or email (you get a verification code)
Steps
- Call the National Contact Centre on 97771, or on (+254) 703 070 707.
- Self-service by USSD: dial *977# for prepaid tokens, postpaid bills, new connections, reporting incidents, Jua for Sure and billing complaints. You need airtime.
- Download the free MyPower app (Android and iOS) to check your bill or token, apply for supply, see planned interruptions and report outages.
- First time on the self-service portal? Register at selfservice.kplc.co.ke, saying whether you are a landlord or tenant, then log in to query your bill.
- Write to customercare@kplc.co.ke, or use the 'Talk to Us' form on kplc.co.ke/contact-us. Or visit Kenya Power's head office at Stima Plaza, Kolobot Road, Nairobi, or any county office.
Watch out
- Report people pretending to be Kenya Power staff on the Anti-Fraud Hotline 0718 999 000. You can check a staff number with Jua for Sure on *977# or the MyPower app.
- Kenya Power's website links its X (Twitter) account, @KenyaPower, and an official WhatsApp channel. For help with your own account, use 97771 or *977#.
