Contract your hospital or clinic with SHA (e-contracting)

Once your licensed facility is on SHA's empanelled list, sign up on the SHA e-contracting portal (econtracting.sha.go.ke), verify the facility with its HFR ID or licence number, fill in services, bank details and tariffs, then e-sign with a witness. The new contract cycle runs 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2029.

What you need
- Your facility's HFR ID or licence number
- Valid licences, registrations and accreditation for the premises, equipment and every health worker (for example KMPDC or Clinical Officers Council)
- A valid KRA tax compliance certificate
- A bank account in the facility's official name with a bank confirmation letter
- SHA Bank Details Form for Healthcare Providers (on sha.go.ke/sha-forms)
Steps
- Go to econtracting.sha.go.ke and create an account for your facility and its administrator.
- Fetch your facility's details using its HFR ID or licence number.
- Fill in the e-contract: services you offer, bank details and tariffs.
- Sign the contract electronically in the Signatory section and have a witness co-sign, then submit.
- Track the contract's status and renew it from your dashboard.
Watch out
- You can only contract once your facility is on the empanelled list SHA publishes in the Kenya Gazette; SHA then starts contracting within 30 days.
- SHA has a new contract cycle running from 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2029, with new contracts for PHC, SHIF, ECCIF and POMSF.
