Social Health Authority · sources read 2 Oct 2026
Call SHA free on 0800 720 601 or email complaints@sha.go.ke with your ID number, the hospital's name and what happened. You can also visit an SHA branch in your county. Report fraud to fraud@sha.go.ke.
- Fee
- We couldn't confirm a fee from the official page. Check it there before you pay.
- Where
- Phone 0800 720 601 or *147#, email complaints@sha.go.ke, or an SHA county branch (head office: SHA Building, Ragati Road, Upperhill, Nairobi)
Steps
- Call the SHA toll-free line 0800 720 601 and explain the problem.
- Put it in writing to complaints@sha.go.ke: your ID number, the facility, the date, and any receipts or messages.
- If it isn't sorted, go to the SHA branch office in your county (listed on sha.go.ke/contactus).
Watch out
- A hospital can't turn you away from emergency care because you aren't registered or paid up: emergency care is open to all residents.
- For questions on deductions, payments or penalties, the SHA Contact Centre (dial 147) is the fastest route.
- If you are employed, your employer makes the deduction, so raise a wrong salary deduction with your employer too.
