State Department for Lands and Physical Planning · sources read 2 Oct 2026
All co-owners sign a partition instrument (or get a court order if you disagree), pay stamp duty, then lodge it with the original title at the land registry so each owner gets a separate title. Fees are KSh 1,000 registration, KSh 1,000 to open the register and KSh 2,500 title fee, and it takes about 3 days.
