Pay your water bill or get a new connection in Embu (EWASCO)

Pay your Embu water bill on M-Pesa paybill 808200, using your meter number as the account, or dial *483*466#. A new domestic connection costs KSh 5,100: a KSh 2,500 deposit, KSh 2,500 labour and a KSh 100 application fee.

What you need
- Your ID, KRA PIN and title deed
Steps
- To pay a bill: M-Pesa > Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill, business number 808200, account number = your meter number.
- To check or pay your bill from any phone, dial *483*466#.
- For a new connection, download the EWASCO application form.
- EWASCO sends a plumber to check the site where the water will go.
- Return the filled form, with your documents, to any EWASCO office.
Watch out
- If you are cut off for not paying, reconnection costs KSh 1,000 on top of the bill.
- Reconnecting yourself is a criminal offence. The penalty is KSh 5,000, and you are billed back to the date of the cut-off.
- To get your bill by SMS, visit an EWASCO office or call customer care to register.
