Pay your water bill or get a new connection in Kisii (KWASCO)

Pay your Kisii water bill on M-Pesa paybill 993600, using your KWASCO account number as the account. For a new connection, fill the KWASCO form, bring your ID and KRA PIN, then pay the deposit plus a KSh 2,500 installation charge.

- KSh 2,500Installation charge, ½ to 1 inch meter (on top of the deposit)
- Deadline
- Bills go out on the 1st. Pay before the 8th or 9th, when reminders go out and disconnections begin

- KWASCO main office, Bobaracho along Kisii-Keroka Road, Kisii (Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm). Also at Huduma Centre Kisii (desk 12) and the Mashauri area office. Call +254 769 315 563. Bills: M-Pesa paybill 993600
What you need
- Copy of your national ID and KRA PIN certificate
- Copy of the ID of an alternative contact person
- For tenants: tenancy agreement
- For companies: certificate of incorporation and KRA PIN certificate
Steps
- To pay a bill: M-Pesa > Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill, business number 993600, account number = your KWASCO account number.
- To check your bill, SMS BILL followed by your account number to 40222 (toll-free), or dial *873*64#.
- For a new connection, fill the KWASCO application form and take it with your documents to a KWASCO office.
- Pay the deposit and the installation charge for your meter size.
Watch out
- Always use your account number as the payment reference. KWASCO agents may not collect cash from you.
- Not getting your bill? The account may still be in the landlord's or the last tenant's name. Register it in your own name to get bills on your phone.
