Pay your water bill or get a new connection in Kisumu (KIWASCO)

Pay your Kisumu water bill on M-Pesa paybill 517000, using your KIWASCO account number as the account. For a new connection, fill the KIWASCO form, bring your ID and KRA PIN, then pay a KSh 2,500 deposit plus the installation charge.

What you need
- Copy of your national ID and KRA PIN certificate
- Copy of the ID of an alternative contact person
- For tenants: tenancy agreement, and the landlord signs the guarantee on the form
- For companies: certificate of incorporation and KRA PIN certificate
Steps
- To pay a bill: M-Pesa > Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill, business number 517000, account number = your KIWASCO account number.
- To check your bill, SMS BILL followed by your account number to 40222 (free), or dial *483*86#.
- For a new connection, download and fill the KIWASCO application form and take it with your documents to the KIWASCO office.
- Pay the deposit and connection fee. KIWASCO then processes your application.
Watch out
- Unpaid bills get disconnected from the 11th of the month, and reconnection costs KSh 1,000.
- Always use your account number as the payment reference. KIWASCO agents may not collect cash from you.
- Paid to the wrong account? Send the M-Pesa details to customercare@kiwasco.co.ke to have it corrected.
