Pay your water bill or get a new connection in Nanyuki (NAWASCO)

Pay your Nanyuki water bill on M-Pesa paybill 540300, using your 5-digit NAWASCO water account number, within 14 days. A new domestic connection costs a KSh 2,500 deposit plus a KSh 2,500 connection fee (½ to 1 inch); apply with your ID and KRA PIN.

What you need
- Filled application form, with copies of your ID and KRA PIN certificate
- Contact details of an existing water customer near your premises
- For tenants: your landlord's details on the form; the landlord agrees to pay if you default
Steps
- To pay a bill: M-Pesa > Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill, business number 540300, account number = your 5-digit water account number.
- To check your balance, dial *483*08# from the phone number registered with NAWASCO, or call toll free 0800 721101.
- For a new connection, get the application form at a NAWASCO office or download it from nawasco.co.ke, fill it and hand it in.
- NAWASCO surveys your site and tells you the materials and payments needed.
- Pay the deposit and connection fee. Your account is created and you are connected.
Watch out
- Paid to the wrong account? Call toll free 0800 721101 with the M-Pesa transaction number and the correct account number.
- Not getting SMS bills? You may have blocked Safaricom promotional messages. Dial *100#, then 5, 2, 5 to turn them back on.
