Pay your water bill or get a new connection in Ruiru and Juja (RUJWASCO)

Pay your Ruiru or Juja water bill on M-Pesa paybill 222178 (Family Bank) or 522223 (KCB), using your RUJWASCO account number as the account. A new domestic connection costs a KSh 2,500 connection fee plus a KSh 2,500 refundable deposit.

What you need
- Filled application form
- Copy of ID or passport (or registration certificate for a company), and KRA PIN certificate
- Land registration or plot number
- Tenants: the landlord's signature
- A neighbour's consent letter if the pipe crosses their plot, or an authority letter if it crosses a public road
Steps
- To pay a bill: M-Pesa > Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill 222178 (Family Bank) or 522223 (KCB), account number = your RUJWASCO account number.
- For a new connection, fill the application form and bring your documents to the RUJWASCO office.
- Pay the water deposit to KCB account 1102730939 and the connection fee to KCB account 1102724033. You dig the trench, lay the pipe and backfill.
Watch out
- Always use your RUJWASCO account number as the payment reference.
- Raise any billing complaint within 3 months. After that, the bill cannot be adjusted.
- If your meter is not connected within 3 working days without explanation, RUJWASCO refunds 5% of the labour cost for each day of delay.
