Pay your water bill or get a new connection in Thika (THIWASCO)

Pay your Thika water bill on M-Pesa paybill 860100, using your THIWASCO water account number as the account. For a new connection, apply online or fill the THIWASCO form with your ID, KRA PIN and proof of land ownership, then pay the connection fee and deposit.

What you need
- Copy of your national ID or passport (companies: certificate of incorporation)
- Copy of your KRA PIN certificate
- Proof of the property: title deed, lease, tenancy agreement or allotment letter
- For tenants: landlord's guarantee on the form, with copies of the landlord's ID and PIN
Steps
- To pay a bill: M-Pesa > Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill, business number 860100, account number = your THIWASCO water account number.
- For a new connection, apply online on the THIWASCO site, or download the form (or pick it at a THIWASCO office) and fill it.
- Attach your ID, KRA PIN certificate and land ownership document.
- Pay the new connection fee and deposit. THIWASCO then connects the water at your premises.
Watch out
- You also buy the connection materials. The 4-day clock starts only once the form, payment and materials are all in.
- Disconnected? Pay the outstanding bill plus the reconnection fee, then call customer care on 0720 418 444 or 0701 053 637.
- On Equitel, use paybill 860111 with your water account number.
