Reset a forgotten iTax password or unlock your iTax account

On the iTax login page, click 'forgot password', answer the security stamp sum and KRA emails new login details to the email on your PIN. A locked account unlocks by itself within 24 hours.

What you need
- Your KRA PIN and access to the email address registered on iTax
Steps
- Go to the iTax login page and click the 'forgot password' link.
- Answer the security stamp sum. KRA sends new login details to the email registered on your PIN. Log in and set a new password.
- To change the email on file, log in and go to Registration > Amend PIN details. A KRA officer approves the change.
Watch out
- Locked out after too many tries? Blocked passwords reset automatically within 24 hours, so you can just wait a day and try again.
- If you can't reset it online (for example you no longer use the registered email), send your PIN to callcentre@kra.go.ke and DTDOnlineSupport@kra.go.ke, or visit the nearest KRA office, and ask for a password reset.
